How to Add a Financing Button to Your Website

This guide shows you how to add a “See monthly payments” financing button to WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and Webflow using the free BuildFolio financing & lead capture widget. Paste one snippet, offer payment options on every job, and track leads in a real-time dashboard.

How to add a “See monthly payments” financing button to a contractor website using BuildFolio

What the BuildFolio financing button does

The BuildFolio financing button adds a small call-to-action on your website — usually labeled “See monthly payments” or “View financing options”. When a homeowner clicks it:

  • They open a secure flow to compare financing offers (soft inquiry where available).
  • You capture a lead with contact info and job details inside BuildFolio.
  • You can follow up manually or use SMS automation and AI Photo-to-Quote on the Pro plan.

You are not acting as a lender or broker. BuildFolio’s marketplace partner handles the financing flow; you stay focused on winning and completing the job.

Step 1 — Copy your financing button snippet

First, log into app.build-folio.com and go to Widgets → Financing Button. Copy your personalized snippet. It will look similar to this:

<!-- BuildFolio Financing Button -->
<script src="https://app.build-folio.com/widget.js" defer></script>

<div
  data-bf-widget="financing"
  data-bf-label="See monthly payments"
  data-bf-placement="estimate-page">
</div>

You can adjust data-bf-label (button text) and data-bf-placement to match where you install it (homepage, pricing page, HVAC landing page, etc.).

Add a financing button in WordPress

  1. In WordPress, open the page where you want the financing button to appear.
  2. Click the + icon and add a Custom HTML block (or use an HTML widget in Elementor/Beaver Builder).
  3. Paste your BuildFolio financing snippet from the dashboard.
  4. Optionally change the label text to something like “See monthly payments for this system”.
  5. Update or publish the page, then test the button on desktop and mobile.

New to the block editor? See the official WordPress block editor guide.

Add a financing button in Wix

  1. In the Wix Editor, open the page where you want the button (often your pricing or HVAC replacement page).
  2. Click Add > Embed > Custom Embeds > Embed a Widget.
  3. Paste your BuildFolio snippet into the custom code area.
  4. Resize and position the widget near your main call-to-action or pricing section.
  5. Publish and test the button on a live page, not just the editor preview.

Add a financing button in Squarespace

  1. Open the page editor and hover where you want the financing button to appear.
  2. Click the “+” to add a block, then choose Code.
  3. Paste your BuildFolio financing snippet into the code block.
  4. Set the block to Display Source rather than just code text.
  5. Save and test the page on mobile to confirm placement.

Add a financing button in Webflow

  1. In the Webflow Designer, drag an Embed element to the section near your estimate/pricing text.
  2. Paste your BuildFolio snippet into the Embed code window.
  3. Save and publish the site.
  4. Visit the live page and click the financing button to confirm the flow opens correctly.

Best practices for your financing button

Place it near price

Add the button next to your estimate form, “Book estimate” button, or pricing section where homeowners feel the sticker shock.

Use clear language

Labels like “See monthly payments” or “View financing options” generally outperform vague “Learn more” copy.

Pair with lead capture

Combine the financing button with the BuildFolio lead capture widget to get photos and contact info in one place.

Track results

Use the BuildFolio dashboard to see clicks, completed applications, and booked jobs so you can prove ROI.

Many contractors start with the free financing button and later upgrade to Professional SMS + AI for missed-call texts, automation, and AI quoting.

Financing button FAQs

Is the BuildFolio financing widget really free?

Yes. The financing button is included on the Free plan. You can add it to your website, capture leads, and see basic tracking without a subscription. Pro adds SMS automation, AI Photo-to-Quote, and invoice reminders.

Does the financing check hurt my customer’s credit?

The marketplace typically uses a soft inquiry to show options without impacting credit scores. Customers see details before they decide whether to proceed. Exact terms depend on our financing partner and may change over time.

Where do I see the leads and clicks?

Every click and qualified lead appears in your BuildFolio dashboard, alongside leads from your lead capture widget. You can export data or turn on automation at any time.

Will this slow down my website?

No. The widget loads asynchronously from BuildFolio’s servers and is optimized for performance. It should not block your page from rendering.

Paste one button. Offer monthly payments on every job.

Create your free BuildFolio account, copy your financing snippet, and place it on your most-visited pages. You can upgrade later for automation and AI quoting.
