What information can the lead capture widget collect?
It collects name and phone, plus optional email, project notes, address, and project photos. The submission can also retain the page URL, UTM source, UTM medium, UTM campaign, and device type.
Where does a website inquiry go?
It appears in your BuildFolio Leads list with the source label “Website widget,” where your team can review the submitted details and photos. A lead is not automatically turned into a job; your team controls what happens next.
Does BuildFolio send me purchased or shared leads?
No. The widget captures inquiries from people visiting your own website. BuildFolio does not promise traffic or lead volume and does not sell the same inquiry to multiple contractors.
Does the lead form include financing?
No. Lead capture and financing are separate widgets. You can add both to a site, but each has its own purpose and setup.
Will the widget affect website performance?
Any third-party script adds some browser work. Install the widget on a test page first, then check the page on mobile and run your normal performance test before rolling it out site-wide.
Will it work with my website builder?
It can run on pages that allow a custom script tag. The exact placement steps and plan requirements depend on your website builder, so confirm that custom code is supported before installing it.
