SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Receive SMS Messages

By providing your mobile phone number to BuildFolio (operated by BuildFolio, Inc.), you consent to receive text messages (SMS and MMS) from BuildFolio and contractors using the BuildFolio platform. These messages may include:

• Appointment confirmations and reminders
• Quote and proposal notifications
• Follow-up messages regarding your home improvement project
• Missed call text-back responses
• Service updates and status notifications
• Promotional offers and tips (if opted in)

2. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your interactions. For active projects, you may receive up to 10 messages per month. Promotional messages will not exceed 4 messages per month. Message frequency may increase during active project communication.

3. Opt-Out Instructions

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any text message from BuildFolio
• Emailing support@build-folio.com with your phone number and opt-out request
• Contacting us through our website at build-folio.com/contact

After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. You will not receive any further messages unless you re-subscribe. Opting out of SMS does not affect your BuildFolio account or service.

5. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. BuildFolio does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may charge standard messaging fees. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.

6. Supported Carriers

BuildFolio SMS is supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Carrier availability is not guaranteed. Service may not be available in all areas.

7. Privacy and Data Use

Your phone number and messaging data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely for:

• Delivering messages you have requested or consented to receive
• Facilitating communication between you and your contractor
• Providing service updates related to your BuildFolio account

8. Contractor-Initiated Messages

When you engage with a contractor through BuildFolio (by submitting a lead form, requesting a quote, or responding to a missed call text), you consent to receive follow-up messages from that contractor through the BuildFolio platform. These messages are sent on behalf of the contractor but processed through BuildFolio’s messaging system.

9. Automated Messages

Some messages from BuildFolio are automated, including:

• Missed-call text-back responses (sent automatically when a contractor cannot answer)
• Scheduled follow-up sequences (sent at predetermined intervals)
• Appointment reminders (sent before scheduled appointments)
• Quote/proposal notifications (sent when a proposal is ready for review)

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive these automated messages.

10. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to consent to receiving SMS messages from BuildFolio.

11. Changes to These Terms

BuildFolio reserves the right to update these SMS Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of BuildFolio SMS services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
